Anthony My Rankings Are Not Sticking

Hey There,

Anthony Aires here and I just got this question on our support desk form a valued client of mine named Tony.

AND I get this question a lot so I figured would be good to answer here and also provide a ton of value to you to help you have success with SEO!

Here’s what Tony asked:

“I have a few of your products: G Probe, Video Spinn, Rocket Video Ranker, Video Link Vortex 2.0 and probably others; I’ve learned a lot from them and even have a few clients paying me monthly for my video marketing services.

But… when I first create the videos they always rank like crazy for a couple of days, then they disappear for 1-2 weeks (Google dance). However, only one or two of them come back to page one of Google, but by far most of them never come back at all, a lot of them are under the Videos tab in Google, but not under the All tabs.

My customers are complaining that their videos are no longer coming up on Google’s first page. What else can I do to not only have my videos show up under the Videos tab, but also under the All tab and keep them there?

What service/product do I need, is there someone in Fiverr or Upwork that I should be contracting, if so who?

Please give me some ideas/solutions, I’m sure I’m not the only one having this problem.

My response to Tony as follows:

“Hey Tony,

Great to hear from you this is Anthony Aires.

Hope you had a great Christmas and Happy New Year to you.

Ok so first and foremost congrats on getting the clients that’s what everybody struggles with so the fact that you got that down is great because you’ll be able to scale fast once you get the ranking system down.

The most important thing to recognize is that seo is as much of an art as it is a science.

AND the more you do it the better you’ll get at both the art and science part.

It’s a great thing to specialize and specialization is one of the 13 Millionaires Secrets.

Ok so with that being said (my point in doins is to validate your effort and continued focus in becoming an seo ninja)

Now you don’t need to get caught up in the tech because alot of this can be outsourced as you grow your business and have an understanding of the art and science of seo.

So I do not know your level of expertise.

I’m going to assume we’re starting from ground zero.

SEO foundations and basics are very important to know because they don’t normally change it’s the tactics and methods within the foundations that change.

Interestingly enough if you’ve been seo as long as me you’ll see things going full circle.

Google does this to confuse people and also because atm it can only update so many of those foundational prinicipals without causing a massive disruption in the core algo.

What do I mean by full circle.

Well the flavor of the month a few years ago was the penguin update which an update based over optimization of anchor text backlinks.

So people quickly switched to randomization of anchor text backlinks and and underoptimization.

Recently I’ve seen them busting chops for under optimization of anchor text backlinks so sites that are slightly over optimizing anchor text backlinks are popping to first page.

So they go back and forth because they have to in order to switch things up and frustrate seo’s and people investing in seo so they turn to adwords.

It’s their game right think big picture and how they make money.

They sure as hell don’t make money with sites ranking organically.

So they gotta piss them off annoy them with updates to the algo and search engine ranking results to they say fuck it I’m just going to use adwords and pay.

What businesses lack to understand is that it’s not an Either OR world it’s AND world.

They need to do both and MORE.

They must be prolific.

They need to do:

Videos on the first page,

They need to do adwords.

They need their site listed.

They need to be on google maps

They need some web 2.0’s ranking for their business.

So instead of them just having one ranking on the first page.

They have several increasing their chances of getting more clicks and calls.

Otherwise they’re competing against 20 other results.

I’m sharing all of this with you so you can understand how to start enhancing your pitch and offer as your business grows and trust with your clients working with you grows so you can offer more and more per customer it’s harder to get new customers than it is to sell the customers you already have more (once you start and are able to do this your business will grow by quantum leaps)

Just some added value for you.

Search Engine Positining by Fred Marckini

This book is old in fact it’s the very first book I bought on SEO and the one that led me to build lead generation businsses that have gone on to generate 7 figures..

Don’t let old fool you these are the basic foundational principals of seo that I talk about in this blog post.

Yes there are things that are done differently but won’t understand how to implement changes and conquer algo updates if you don’t understand the core principals.

Fred does an amazing job of explaining in this book real laymens terms.

From there once you’ve read and understand the core you’ll be lethal when you apply modern day seo tactics to the basics.

So real quick essentially if these videos are not sticking a quick solution to get things going and keep them going you getting paid.

First is views.

Go and buy 500 views on YouTube try and target them for the niche on YouTube.

And focus on only doing the related video ads you can do it so the ads are the ones that show up on the side of related videos.

Use broad niche keywords don’t use local niche keywords.

So on YouTube target Personal Injurly lawyer instead of cape coral personal injury lawyer.

You’ll still get cheap views because you’ll be doing related video ads.

You’ll get targeted people that watch the video at least 80% which is an important factor to ranking.

If you want to dig deeper on how to do this I highly recommend this training Video Ads Crash Course 3.0 from a former student of mine Justin who is now the goto guy on YouTube Video Ads (he’s sought after as one of the top speakers on video ads at the biggest internet events becasue he’s a leader in the topic)

Next step after you get the views rolling go and buy embeds.

Let them breathe see where they end up.

Give about 3 to 10 days.

Then if that doesn’t work (which it should)

Social signals would be the next step.

Only do this step if they don’t rank or if they do rank then slip later come back and do this step.

I call this seo layering I talk about this in Speed Ranking System.

It’s how I do my seo.

I layer it rank wait until it slips then add another layer.

Sometimes the slips never happen sometimes it’s a year sometimes in months every keyword is different.

Plus your client competitors hire peole to do what you do to so you gotta keep it up.

When client says he Tony how come I gotta pay you this monthly management fee.

Well Mr. Client your competition is hiring guys like me.

I’ll never work for your competition you don’t have to worry about that but we do have to worry about them working to push us down and themselves up so we gotta keep being at war with them and keep doing this work to keep you ranking.


Then after social signals would be high powered pbns

Again only if not ranking or if ranking slip would you go this route.

This should really keep things going smoothly for you.
